A good seventh chord voicing with the root in the bass and tritone on top. 

This one doesn't have the root either but it's not really a big deal because it's the tritone on top that's important in the seventh chord and this shape gives you that. The 5 in the bass works and it's a good moveable shape.

The tritone on top and the root in the bass, this one sounds like a 7th chord. A moveable shape worth learning.

Based on the old barre chord this voicing is missing the 3rd so can also be used to replace a minor 7th chord. Without the third though you can't hear the tension in the tritone and so it doesn't really cut the mustard. It's a moveable shape though that is easy to grab so it's worth knowing for those times when you need a seventh chord for half a barre or so.

With the tritone on top this is a good voicing for a seventh chord, it's also a moveable shape that is worth persevering with.
