How do you get such Great tone out of your guitars? I have several 3 strings I have Built .An electric accoustic slider,An accoustic slider and one Fretted  but they all have accoustic strings on them. It looks like you have electric strings? Mine are all built on a 25" scale yours Look Much longer does this contribute to the great tone?  Any tips would be appreciated. I am new to the Cigar box world playing and Building them,But I have grown to love them already. Thanks for the grreat lessons! I am on my way to playing them succesfully!

Lots of things contribute to tone, good gear helps and in an electric guitar it's mainly about the pickups. I'll use electric strings when there's a magnetic pickup, which all of mine have. Any system is only as strong as it's weakest link though so you really have to consider everything that goes into making the sound happen. I did a video on the subject a while back, it's from a player's perspective more than a builders but hopefully it helps.

Glad you're enjoying the lessons.

Thanks for the link on tone. it will help with future builds as well as my playing!
